Dana is the Founder, Principal, and Hydrologist at GHS Environmental, bringing more than 25 years of experience in hydrogeology, water resources, environmental permitting, and regulatory compliance. She holds a Master of Science in Marine Science from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology and Chemistry from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

Since founding GHS Environmental in 2010, Dana has led complex projects involving groundwater resource development, water treatment systems, environmental assessments, aquifer characterization, wetlands, and water quality analysis. She is recognized for her expertise in water use permitting, environmental resource permitting, groundwater and surface water investigations, and managing high-profile projects for municipalities, utilities, private developers, and industrial clients.

Known as one of the first water rights brokers within the Southwest Florida Water Management District, Dana has helped pioneer innovative approaches to water allocation and permitting. Her technical leadership, regulatory expertise, and commitment to data-driven solutions have established GHS Environmental as a trusted partner in water resource management throughout Florida.

Dr. Tumeo has more than 20 years of experience in private environmental consulting and research in environmental engineering, and has extensive experience in the realm of environmental risk assessment, policy and regulatory compliance. His research over the past ten years has focused on the assessment, management and mitigation of environmental risk.  

He has led several NSF-funded research projects in Antarctica designed to develop basic knowledge on the movement of fuel spills in ice, snow and frozen soil, and to provide information on remediation options for contaminated soil.  

He was also involved in several projects in Alaska looking at remediation of contamination ranging from examination of beach cleaners used to remove crude oil from the Exxon Valdez disaster to surfactant-aided soil washing to remove creosote and pentachlorophenol used in wood preservation.

Douglas has almost 40 years of experience in the water resource industry. Those experiences include titles of licensed water operator (COA-4653), environmental technician, licensed geologist (PG-1773), hydrogeologist, project manager, licensed U.S. Department of Labor MSHA instructor, water resource consultant, and owner/principal of ErthWtr, LLC. 

Specific responsibilities include water plant & reclaimed water plant operations; database creation, data management & analysis; budget forecasting, budget administration & compliance; well design (public supply, irrigation, domestic, commercial & industry); well investigations, rehabilitations, construction & abandonments; project management for counties, municipalities, developers & industry; permit acquisition & compliance; aquifer recharge/recovery & water resource development; contract creation/selection & construction management; direct interaction with the public & regulatory agencies; and state-level rule-making.

John is a Senior Water Resources Engineer with GHS Environmental and brings more than 50 years of experience in hydrology, hydrogeology, and environmental engineering. A registered Professional Engineer and Professional Geologist in Florida, he specializes in groundwater resource development, groundwater and surface water assessments, aquifer analysis, wellfield planning, water-use permitting, sustainability evaluations, and regulatory coordination. His career includes previous service as a hydrologist and water resources engineer with the U.S. Geological Survey and the State of Colorado.

John has extensive experience developing and applying local and regional groundwater-flow models to evaluate wellfield performance, drawdown, aquifer interactions, recharge effectiveness, and groundwater-surface water relationships. His expertise includes MODFLOW and regional modeling platforms used to assess long-term resource sustainability and cumulative impacts across complex, multi-county systems. He has supported major water-use permitting projects, served as an expert witness in hydrogeology and water resources engineering, and managed evaluations involving springs, rivers, public-supply wells, mining operations, and natural wastewater-treatment systems. 

Sami is an Environmental Consultant with GHS Environmental, specializing in environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, water quality assessment, and project management. She has experience preparing Water Use Permit and Public Supply Well Permit applications, conducting groundwater, surface water, and soil sampling, and supporting potable water treatment projects. 

Sami holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science from Eckerd College and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Environmental Engineering at Old Dominion University. She is also a Florida Class C Certified Drinking Water Operator and NPDES certified. 

Mason Trupp is the Water Treatment Supervisor at GHS Environmental. He specializes in water treatment system operations, design and construction, maintenance, and regulatory compliance, helping clients maintain safe, efficient, and dependable water systems. Mason works closely with public and private water utilities to troubleshoot operational challenges, optimize treatment processes, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. 

His practical, solutions-focused approach and dedication to quality make him a valuable resource for clients throughout Florida. 

Lor serves as the Director of Business Development at GHS Environmental. Since joining the firm in 2024, he has supported clients in achieving their environmental and water resource goals through well design and installation, water sampling and testing, water treatment, permitting, and regulatory compliance. 

As a Florida Class D Certified Drinking Water Operator, Lor combines his passion for environmental services with a client-focused approach to developing strong, lasting partnerships. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing and trail biking.

Julie specializes in developing and managing geospatial data to support groundwater and surface water modeling projects at both local and regional scales. She plays a key role in integrating GIS with advanced numerical modeling platforms, including MODFLOW, ensuring accurate spatial data, model consistency, and clear visualization of complex results.

Her expertise includes hydrogeologic spatial analysis, such as potentiometric surface mapping, groundwater recharge evaluation, and groundwater–surface water interaction studies. She also develops model-ready datasets, including boundary conditions, hydraulic parameter zonation, and high-resolution terrain models derived from LiDAR and remote sensing technologies.

Chuck is a Senior Environmental Scientist with more than 25 years of environmental consulting experience. His expertise includes federal, state, and local environmental permitting; wetland delineation, mitigation, and restoration; listed species surveys and management plans; environmental assessments; water and soil sampling; and project management. 

Chuck holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of South Florida and is a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Authorized Gopher Tortoise Agent.

Jessie is a Senior Environmental Scientist at GHS Environmental with more than 25 years of experience in environmental consulting, wetland science, and wildlife ecology. Throughout her career, she has supported a wide range of public and private projects across Florida, specializing in wetland delineations, habitat assessments, permitting, mitigation planning, and ecological compliance. 

Having previously worked with both the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and various Florida water management districts, Jessie brings extensive regulatory knowledge and field expertise to every project. 

Tim is the Aquatic Services Manager at GHS Environmental. He specializes in keeping waterways free of excessive vegetation and maintaining ponds in optimal environmental condition. Using eco-friendly treatment methods and advanced equipment, Tim safely identifies and controls invasive aquatic weeds and algae to ensure ponds remain clean, clear, safe, and accessible.

Tim develops customized maintenance schedules to support long-term water quality while protecting local fish and wildlife.

Caleb is an Aquatic Weed Control Specialist at GHS Environmental.

He keeps and maintains water flow ways clean of vegetation and ponds within their best environmental condition. He specializes in identifying and safely eliminating invasive aquatic weeds and algae using eco friendly methods and advanced equipment he ensures your ponds remain clean, clear, safe and fully accessible. He tailors custom maintenance schedules for long term clarity and he is committed to preserving local fish and wildlife.
